Cincinnati Breakout Sessions
Students have the choice to attend a variety of interactive discussion panels and breakout sessions. These breakouts will be delivered by various successful women that represent a variety of careers and personal choices. These women are experts on issues that high school girls are currently facing. The sessions will teach important skills needed to be successful in the workforce and ways to develop their leadership potential.
A. Be Philanthropic: Explore the three T’s of philanthropy, time, talents, and treasure, in this interactive session where we will look at ways that you can invest in and impact our community.
B. Be Strong. Be Safe.: In this interactive session, you will learn concepts and skills to help you develop important and empowering self-protection strategies. Learn how to make smart choices that will keep you safe in dangerous situations.
C. Be Mindful: Mindfulness can help cultivate empathy, increase your skills for concentration, and develop your ability to sharpen your focus and pay attention. Join us for this interactive session where we will explore how your brain works and how you can implement mindfulness practices in your everyday life.
D. Be Focused: Unlock your full potential in this breakout session where you will learn how to set formal goals by creating a vision board which will help you identify what means the most for your success now and into the future. Materials will be provided.
E. Be Financially Savvy: Learn how to manage money, create wealth, and make wise financial decisions. By participating in this breakout, you will be prepared and poised for savvy and successful financial futures that will change your life and your family’s for generations to come.
F. Be Your Own Brand: Being a young woman in today’s society can be a powerful thing. We will talk about self-worth, negative stereotypes and how to overcome them.
G. Be Prepared for College: We will focus on many aspects of college including the application process and financial aid. You will also learn how to decide on which college to attend, how to identify your strengths and weaknesses and map them to your major and how to get involved on campus. An interactive trivia portion will also be included.
H. Be Your Future: Have you ever wanted to know more about different careers or the “real” story of how successful women have achieved excellence in their careers? Join us for this fast-paced, career roundtables exploration. This is your opportunity to network with women representing a wide variety of careers and experiences.
