Cincinnati/NKY Breakout Sessions

Breakout Sessions – 2018

Students have the choice to attend a variety of interactive discussion panels and breakout sessions. These breakouts will be delivered by various successful women that represent a variety of careers and personal choices. These women are experts on issues that high school girls are currently facing. The sessions will teach important skills needed to be successful in the workforce and ways to develop their leadership potential.

A. Be Philanthropic: Explore the three T’s of philanthropy, time, talents, and treasure, in this interactive session where we will look at ways that you can invest in and impact our community.

B. Be Strong. Be Safe.: In this interactive session, you will learn concepts and skills to help you develop important and empowering self-protection strategies. Learn how to make smart choices that will keep you safe in dangerous situations.

C.  Be Your Own Leader: Building Your Leadership Capital: Have you ever wondered how the most effective leaders make it look so easy? Join us for this interactive breakout session where we will explore how leadership works and provide you with the basic building blocks to strengthen your leadership capital. Guided by those who research, practice, and teach leadership, you will learn “tips” and “tricks” to more effectively lead now and in the future.

D.  Be Focused: Unlock your full potential in this breakout session where you will learn how to set formal goals by creating a vision board which will help you identify what means the most for your success now and into the future. Materials will be provided.

E. BeYond Fit: (Be)Come the best you! Learn how to balance your finances and health/fitness for wellness throughout all aspects of your life.

F.  Be Unapologetically You: There is nothing more beautiful than a young woman being unapologetically herself. We will talk about self-confidence, self-definition and learning to be okay with being a perfectly imperfect work in progress.

G. Be Prepared for College: We will focus on many aspects of college including the application process and financial aid. You will also learn how to decide on which college to attend, how to identify your strengths and weaknesses and map them to your major and how to get involved on campus. An interactive trivia portion will also be included.

H. Be Your Future: Have you ever wanted to know more about different careers or the “real” story of how successful women have achieved excellence in their careers? Join us for this fast-paced, career roundtables exploration. This is your opportunity to network with women representing a wide variety of careers and experiences.
