Breakout Sessions

Students have the choice to attend a variety of interactive discussion panels and breakout sessions. These breakouts will be delivered by various successful women that represent a variety of careers and personal choices. These women are experts on issues that high school girls are currently facing. The sessions will teach important skills needed to be successful in the workforce and ways to develop their leadership potential.

More About Dana Branham

Work Experience

Dana S. Branham has been a financial advisor for over seven years.  She began her career in the brokerage industry with AXA Advisors and Edward Jones, but spent most of her previous career with Lexmark International, a global technology company headquartered in Lexington.


Dana is a graduate of Howard University, where she earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Finance.  Since then, she has earned a MBA from the University of Kentucky and a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University.  She also holds Series 7, 66, and insurance licenses.

Community Involvement

Dana is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and a trustee at her church.  She is also the founder and adviser to God’s Girls, a faith-based enrichment program for teen girls.


Currently, Dana manages Lasting Legacy Wealth Management, which is affiliated with the national independent brokerage firm, LPL Financial.  She specializes in providing the following services for her clients:

  • IRAs, Rollovers, and Retirement Transition Planning
  • Insurance and Estate Matters
  • Investments for Education and Other Life Goals

Dana enjoys educating the community about investing through seminars and workshops.  She has been a facilitator for Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University as well as the guest speaker for numerous non-profit & civic organizations and churches.  She has also made regular television and radio appearances promoting financial security for all.

Dana’s mission is to help create lasting legacies of wealth for clients and their families.

Confidence Coalition,
Kappa Delta Sorority

In “Be Bold. Be Confident”, we will discuss how being a young woman in today’s society can be a powerful thing. We will talk about self-worth, negative stereotypes and how to overcome them. We will also demonstrate how to empower other women and girls in our day to day lives.

More About Kim Lewis

Kim Lewis is a graduate of Northern Kentucky University. During her time at NKU, Kim had the opportunity to get involved in multiple student organizations, one of those organizations being Kappa Delta Sorority. Kappa Delta became an outlet for Kim’s passion for female empowerment through their creation of the Confidence Coalition, an allegiance of companies, individuals and organization that work to promote positive self-esteem in women and young girls . During her time in college, Kim worked to encourage her peers to lead a confident lifestyle. After graduation, Kim traveled for Kappa Delta as a leadership development consultant. Throughout her travel year she had the opportunity to establish two Kappa Delta chapters and work with 15 universities nationwide. She now resides in Memphis, TN and serves as the new chapter coordinator for Kappa Delta Sorority National Headquarters. Kim is thrilled to present at this year’s Young Women Lead Conference.

In this session, students will learn more about the leadership skills they already have, while gaining new insights that will benefit them both now and in the future.

Kelli Gilbert is an executive with over 25 years of experience partnering with senior business leaders to align core business resources, relationships and human capital to maximize impact, drive revenue gains, and generate brand recognition with internal and external stakeholders. Combining distinct yet complimentary talents of creativity and analytical thinking, Kelli’s strength is in delivering creative business solutions in an organized framework.

Prior to her role as President and CEO of The Metropolitan Club, Kelli worked at Fidelity Investments, an international financial services firm, holding a series of administrative, H.R. and Community Relations positions. Her passion for providing leadership development is reflected in her many community engagements including: Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Initiative, SOAR, Greater Cincinnati Dress for Success, Pritchard Committee for Academic Excellence, and the Kentucky Commission on Philanthropy.

Kelli received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Thomas More College. She is married and has four grown children and one granddaughter. Born and raised in Northern Kentucky, Kelli and her family currently reside in Anderson Township, Ohio.
