The 2016 Cincinnati Young Women LEAD Conference is presented by Toyota through their partnership with SOAR. The conference is open to high school girls in the Northern Kentucky, Greater Cincinnati and Indiana areas.

Julia Garcia is the Founder and President of The TRU Movement, a non-profit organization infusing story telling and performance art to break down walls, stereotypes, and labels that keep young people from being The Real U.
More About Julia Garcia
Julia has been fiercely leading, educating, and empowering hundreds of thousands of individuals throughout the Nation for nearly 10 years. She published her poetic memoir, Somewhere in Between, at just 24 years old.
Her powerful presentations, interactive workshops and intense team building activities, empowers students from all walks of life to believe in their TRU potential, believe in each other, and most importantly, to believe in themselves. Through her powerful use of story telling, slam poetry, and audience interaction she is truly one of the most unique speakers of our time.
Julia received her BA in Communications from New York Institute of Technology, where she was also a scholar athlete. She received her Masters Degree in Human Science with a concentration in Transformative Social Change from Saybrook University where she is currently a candidate for her PHD in Psychology.
