Put On Your Brave

Young Women LEAD hosts virtually delivered 2021 LIVE! conference

High School girls nationwide were encouraged to Put On Your Brave during this year’s Young Women LEAD Live! presented by Toyota.

Our 2021 virtual conference held October 21 and 22, 2021, featured a slate of award-winning presenters, including Julie Marie Carrier, Monique Coleman, Ashley Eckstein, and Maryam and Nivaal Rehman as its keynote speakers. Carrier, a best-selling author and Emmy nominee, is recognized as the top coach for young women in the world by Leading Global Coaches/Thinkers 50. Actress Monique Coleman is most known for her role as Taylor McKessie in the High School Musical franchise and has also been named the first-ever United Nations Youth Champion. Ashley Eckstein is best known for her voice role as Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars and Founder of Her Universe. The Rehman sisters are twin activists, Disney filmmakers and students at the University of Toronto. Atlanta’s 11Alive WXIA multimedia journalist Paola Suro lead the discussions.

Since its inception 12 years ago, Young Women LEAD has empowered more than 36,000 high school girls through 49 live events. The impact organization is committed to changing the way high school girls nationwide perceive themselves and to empower them to reach higher levels of personal growth and development.

Notable highlights:

  •        4 countries represented
  • 2.5 million weekly social media impressions

“I realized that what is inside of you and who you are meant to be can’t come if you are looking to your left and to your right, wanting to be like those around you. We shouldn’t try to be a combination of others, but we should strive to be authentically us.”
