Young Women LEAD Club – Mental Health Matters with Kasheena Davis

What is as important as our physical health, but something we often ignore? Our mental health!

Kasheena Davis, Social Worker, will discuss mental health statistics, mental illness, and resources for support. She will refer to information presented in the Mental Health Resources Libguide on ACTC’s website and briefly discuss making a comfort box as an example of a coping strategy.

Kasheena Davis

Kasheena Davis describes herself as a neurodivergent nerd with a passion for libraries and social work. She has a degree in Public Library Technology and a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW). She is a member of Ashland for Change, Ashland Pride, and the Social Work Anti-Racist Coalition of Kentucky (SWARCK). She enjoys reading manga, playing video games, visiting art galleries, and nature walks. She lives with her spouse, son, and 2 cats in Ashland, Kentucky.
