National Siblings Day
04/10/23
Our siblings are a huge part of our lives – they can be our best friends and sometimes so annoying. They are with us to give us encouragement, support, and be our biggest motivators and sometimes competitors.
Claudia Evart founded a National Siblings Day and formed Siblings Day Foundation (SDF), as a tribute to her siblings. Her brother, Alan and sister, Lisette passed untimely. April 10, Lisetteās birthday was chosen as Siblings Day. Siblings Day is celebrated in countries, such as Australia, Brazil, Canada, Ghana, India, Ireland, Japan, New Zealand, Nigeria, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, and United Kingdom.
Here are some fun facts about our siblings: 89% of Americans have a sibling; 10% of Americans say they are best friends with their sibling; 5% of Americans regularly spend time with their sibling and share the same friend group.
