Philanthropy
LEAD arose from a desire of aspiring professionals to give back. They sought to develop leadership skills and confidence in high school students. Just as these women gave of their time and talents, we encourage today’s young people to follow in their footsteps and pay it forward.
Through our leadership development offerings on our new portal, we provide resources on how high school students can give back to their communities.
To get started, we encourage them to get started by forming LEAD Clubs utilizing our evidence-based curriculum. Teens can create community impact projects to utilize their time, talents, and treasure to make a leadership impact today. In addition, our conferences include opportunities for student leaders to explore and develop their leadership skills while giving back to their communities.
YWL Clubs
YWL Clubs can be implemented in any school serving high schoolers in grades 9-12. Students and educators are encouraged to initiate YWL Clubs and organizations in their schools to carry forward and extend the messaging from the YWL events. These clubs can be part of the extracurricular offerings, advisory groups, or club options in the students’ individual schools.
YWL Clubs build on YWL’s tradition of excellence. The YWL Club curriculum offers extended year-long learning experiences focused on future-ready workforce skills, leadership development, and STEM career mentorship opportunities. This unique approach allows the opportunity for access and inclusion for students to learn from and support one another along their career continuum.
