Young Women LEAD invites high school girls to attend this year’s Young Women LEAD Conference hosted at the University of Kentucky
The YWL conference presented by Toyota is for girls and focuses on Leadership, Education and Development (LEAD). The conference features interactive keynote, STEM panel speakers, community leaders, and more. The conference is FREE to all participants. YWL teaches important skills needed to be successful in the workforce and ways to develop confidence and leadership potential.
This year’s keynote will feature Ava Johnson – Say It with Music. Ava will lead us in an interactive STEAM experience empowering attendees through music, STEM, and more. You will discover the secrets to music songwriting and production in this highly interactive keynote. Learn how your words are more powerful than you imagined and how your actions are influenced by music.
All attendees will have the opportunity to send a postcard to space with Blue Origin’s Club for the Future. Each attendee will receive a postcard that Club for the Future will launch into space and back on a New Shepard rocket and return to you stamped “Flown to Space.”

When: Wednesday, October 25 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Location: University of Kentucky, Otis A. Singletary Center for Arts, 405 Rose Street, Lexington, Kentucky
Registration:
- Registration is now FULL.
- Attendees should register themselves as the registration includes questions regarding students’ goals for attending the conference.
- We encourage early registration as registration is first-come, first-served and limited.
- The cost is FREE
- All attendees must have a signed Liability Waiver to attend the event. No one will be permitted to attend the event without a signed waiver.
- NOTE: Lunch will NOT be provided.
Philanthropy:
- As part of this year’s Young Women LEAD Conference hosted at the University of Kentucky, we will be collecting NEW shoes for Jerown’s Joy. New shoes build confidence and promote increased fitness activity, which is essential to well-being. The most requested sizes are boys and girls youth – 3, 4, 5, 6 and 1/2 sizes.
- All donated shoes will be provided to students in need who attend central Kentucky schools.
- Help us support our children by donating to Jerown’s Joy! More information about Jerown’s Joy can be found at www.operationbeyou.com.
- Let’s collect 300 pairs of shoes for students in Fayette County.
