Young Women LEAD invites high school girls to attend this year’s Young Women LEAD Conference hosted at Ashland Community and Technical College
Young Women LEAD focuses on Leadership, Education and Development (LEAD) for teen girls. The all-day conference features interactive sessions, keynote speakers and lunch. The conference is free to all participants, and 350 students are expected to attend. The sessions teach important skills needed to be successful in the workforce and ways to develop their leadership potential.
This year’s conference will feature Julie Carrier – the #1 Coach for Young Women in the World by Marshall Goldsmith and the Leading Global Coaches Awards. Julie is leading a movement to “empower those who empower girls and empower girls to empower each other.” She is also a bestselling author, award-winning speaker and consultant for leading girls schools, colleges and organizations. She is also a former Senior Management Consultant in leadership training and development for the Pentagon where she designed and instructed, neuroscience-based, cutting-edge leadership development programs for executives. Julie has reached more than a million girls, young women, and those who care about them, worldwide.

- Registration is first-come, first-served and limited to the first 350 students. We encourage students to register themselves individually as we ask the students questions about their own personal experiences and feelings related to leadership during their registration process.
- Chaperones please register yourself as well. Our staff will provide registration lists to teachers and chaperones before the event, so you know which students from your school or organization have registered.
- Boxed lunches will be provided. If you have food allergies or sensitivities, please bring your own lunch.

Event Specific Emergency Action Plan:
- There are AEDs onsite throughout the building, and staff in the building are CPR/AED certified.
- In an emergency, we encourage patrons to call 911 first, then use the Manager on Duty phone to contact building staff to assist with the emergency responders arriving at the correct location within the facility.
